A paintbrush is a brush that we use to apply paint or ink on a surface.
There are 3 main parts to a paintbrush:
- the bristles,
- the ferrule,
- the handle.
The bristles are similar to hair,
they apply the colour to the support.
The ferrule is the metal circle
that holds the bristle and the handle together.
The handle is usually made out of wood or plastic.
There are many types of brushes, sizes and shape.
Depending on the type of painting you are using,
your choice of paintbrush will not be the same.
