Gouache is a type of water-soluble paint.
Unlike watercolour it is opaque.
So the white of the paper surface does not show through.
It is often used to create highlights in watercolours.

you achieve a slight thick-coated quality.
With sable brushes, you achieve a smooth,
perfect colour quality.
